A reputed Crips gang member has been indicted on charges of beating a gay man into a coma on a Brooklyn street, officials announced yesterday.

"There is no explanation for this kind of raw hatred," Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes said about Steven Pomie, who is accused of repeatedly stomping on Dwan Prince's head earlier this month.

Pomie allegedly pummeled Prince near the openly gay man's East Flatbush building after Prince, 26, made sexually suggestive remarks to the gang member — who was apparently wearing his girlfriend's pink tank top, witnesses said.

"He was doing faggot s - - t," Pomie told witnesses after delivering the final blow to Prince's head, Hynes said. Pomie and his friend then ran off.

Stories like this confuse me. Isn't wearing your girlfriend's pink tank top essentially doing faggot s--t"?

There was an old joke - why don't Dunkin Donuts ever get robbed? Well, I guess this robber has never heard the punch line.

An off-duty cop grabbing a cup of coffee at a Brooklyn Dunkin' Donuts was stabbed yesterday while wrestling with a knife-wielding robber - a gutsy move credited with saving a shop clerk's life, police said.

The robber's last name? Killings. Heh. Possible motive: Disgusted detectives said Killings probably tried to knock over the doughnut shop to get money to fill his mom's gas tank - so he could drive the car to a hearing yesterday in Brooklyn Criminal Court for his 2004 gun arrest. Heh!

Naturally it's Bush's fault - gas prices and all. Hoho!

What's up with Tom Cruise?

I refrained from commenting on the whole Tom Cruise/Kathy Holmes "relationship" for far too long. I seriously don't care enough to speculate on what he's trying to prove with all this public display of affection with Holmes. Is he trying to dispell the rumors of his alleged homosexuality? Is his career doing so bad that he needs some kind of a gimmick to create a buzz? Who knows, but I ain't speculating ;)

All I gotta say is that this...

Back 2 jail

A Harlem woman who got an early release from prison after being touted as a victim of the harsh Rockefeller drug laws is back in jail, this time accused of helping her young lover duck arrest on murder charges.

Well, I am shocked. Shocked, I tell ya! Now, I am not a big fan of the drug laws, in fact I think that no one should go to jail or even be arrested for a mere possession. This chick, however, was doing time for selling 4 ounces of cocaine to an undercover cop in Albany. Also, this doesn't make sense - She told authorities she sold the drugs to earn an extra $25 for her kids. Her profit from a 4 oz sale of coke was only $25?

Uh..

Cory Williamson, 17, is in jail accused of raping his neighbor's dog; and is awaiting trial on charges of molesting a 3-year-old girl and the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl.

Princess was raped by Cory Williamson, 17, two weeks ago. Now the dog has died and charges against Williamson have been upgraded.

Sylvia Jones says Princess wouldn't eat or play anymore after the attack. "She (Princess) couldn't even sit down, her bottom was swollen sore."

blah, blah, blah, Michael Jackson, blah, blah, blah

So, what does the future hold? Jackson gets acquitted, which means we are going to hear from all kinds of legal experts for the next monthss, and the big networks will fall all over each other trying to get that interview. Thankfully, there's other stuff on tv - like poker!

But anyway, wherer does Michael Jackson go from here? Well, according to his lawyer, he won't be sleeping with kids anymore.

"He's not going to do that anymore," attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. told NBC's "Today." "He's not going to make himself vulnerable to this anymore."

Might be mere wishful thinking on the lawyer's part (or not, after all litigation is his bread and butter), but what's left for MJ to do now? He can go to Iraq and try to become an unofficial spokesman for the kids there. Protest our presence there, or do whatever else is popular now amongst the celebrities, like wearing the Kaballah red string, as seen on the photo. What's next? Scientology?

Many talk about the possibility of him moving out to Europe where he has a stronger following then right here in US. That might happen, but I think there's a very strong possibility of him commiting a suicide within the next 5 years.

Then again, as Zonker will tell you, my crystal ball needs some Windex.

What's going on in Queens?

Something serious is going on in Queens right now. I was just driving to work on Cross Island Parkway where they have blocked off 2 lanes due to some major police activity. I've counted 4 choppers (one of which has landed), something like 60 cops (some with guns drawn, going through the bushes on the side of the road) and detectives, and dozens and dozens of police cruisers. I managed to snap a few photos as we were driving by. Hopefully some of them came out ok. Will post in a few.

Mystery solved:

A manhunt is underway in Queens for the person who shot a police officer in Cambria Heights near the Nassau border just before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Tyson fight tomorrow!

Mike Tyson is fighting Kevin McBride (yea, who?) tomorrow. My prediction? Tyson knocks McBride out in the second round.

Boxing fans who are too cheap/poor (guilty as charged) to watch the PPV event, will be watching the Miguel Cotto fight on HBO. Cotto will be fighting Muhammed Abdulaev (originally from Uzbekistan). Both fighters are pretty good, but I'll be rooting for Cotto. He's been consistently sharp in all his fights (the ones I've seen, anyway). This one might go the distance with some knock downs in the later rounds.
