Texas flag over Paris
Page Six never fails to amuse:
ROBIN Williams may have helped avert an international incident in Paris recently when a bunch of rowdy Texans took down the French tricolor flying over their hotel and replaced it with the Texas flag. A mob of outraged French citizens outside the Hotel del Crillon who witnessed the flag prank were set to exact vengeance on the Texans when Williams happened to walk through the lobby and quickly sussed out what was going on, claims our source. The star supposedly thrust himself into the fray as an impromptu negotiator. Appropriately enough in the hometown of famed mime Marcel Marceau, he acted everything out in pantomime, assuring the locals that their flag would be immediately restored to its rightful place. With both sides laughing so hard at the frenetic funnyman's antics, hot tempers quickly cooled and everyone ended up shaking hands. Alas, if the story seems too good to be true, it just might be. Robin's rep tells us, "Robin doesn't know anything about what happened in Paris — though I can't speak for the Texans."
