Klitschko vs Brewster II

The fight starts in about 5 mins, on HBO (replay at 10pm). My prediction? I am a fan of Brewster and I think he has a real chance of knocking out Klitschko. If he does knock out Wladimir, then it will happen within the first 3 rounds. Otherwise its going to be a borig fight, with Klitschko either knockhimg him out in the last 2 rounds or winning by points.

UPDATE

So, Klitschko has won but, eh, another boring fight. Sure the guy wins fights, but he's just like this big robot. All he does is jabs with his left, throws his straight right once in a while, pushes his opponents head down with the left forearm, and clinches.

*yawn*

Miguel Cotto vs Jab Judah

The fight is tonight on PPV. Judah is a slick boxer, but Cotto is way too strong for him. If Judah manages to make it through the fight without getting knocked out, he's bound to look as beat upp as Paulie Malinaggi did after his fight against Cotto.

Not all of my boxing predictions came through in the past, though....

R.I.P Diego "Chico" Corrales

I don't know how I missed this news, being a boxing fan and all, but apparently Diego Corrales was killed in a motorcycle accident last week. What a shame. Diego was a great boxer who was not afraid to take a punch. His first fight against Corrales is in my top 5. Rest in peace Diego.

Boxing: Toney vs. Peter - tonight!

James Toney takes on Samuel Peter tonight on Showtime. While Toney is way to slick for Peter, the nigerian is just too big to get knocked out by Toney. Hence, I predict the fight going the distance. Toney will get the decision.

UPDATE

As I've predicted, the fight has went the distance. Tony was robbed, though - the decision went to Peter. The fight went exactly as I've predicted. Tony was too slick for Samuel Peter, but Peter was too big for Tony to knock out (Tony hit him with some huge punches). I saw Tony winning this fight by at least three rounds.
